Spring Break Vacation Ideas

Catskills
Less than two hours from Westchester, the Catskills offer a myriad of activities. Check out the newest indoor waterpark, The Kartrite Resort & Indoor Waterpark, opening April 4, is the largest indoor waterpark in New York. After a day of splashing, kids can partake in activities such as coloring and crafts, and the whole family can enjoy live entertainment, s’mores, and story-telling. For the nature lovers, there are guided hikes and for the adults, Resorts World Casino is right next door!

Poconos
Fill every minute of every day with activities at the Woodlock Resort, such as rock-climbing walls, swimming pools, ice skating rink, bumper cars, and go karts. At night, relax and enjoy live entertainment. There’s also a kids club where children 10 and under can enjoy activities from crafts to an indoor gym with participation of a parent. And our favorite, Kalahari, is just two hours from Westchester and features warm water rides and splash zones for all ages. You won’t have to worry about the weather because the resort features several restaurants and an arcade with mini golf and an escape room all steps from your room.

Highland, NY
Award-winning all-inclusive resort 90 minutes from New York, Rocking Horse Ranch offers plenty of indoor and outdoor activities for the entire family. In the spring, outdoor activities include horseback riding, pony rides, wildlife exhibits, mini golf, bungee jumping, rock climbing and many more. If you prefer indoor activities, there’s a small indoor waterpark, swimming pools, organized family activities, arcade, shooting range, archery and to round it off, nightly live entertainment. Trust us, your whole family will have an amazing time!

Ocean City, MD
Heading to the beach may not be top of mind in the spring, but even though the water’s too cold to swim, there’s plenty to do in Ocean City: shop, dine and enjoy the boardwalk. Since it’s the off season, you’ll enjoy fewer crowds and cheaper prices. Enjoy indoor mini golf at Old Pro Indoor Courses, go-karting at Baja Amusements, and have some snacks on the boardwalk. Our boardwalk favorites are Thrasher’s French Fries, Dumser’s Dairyland, and Fisher’s Popcorn.

Jeffersonville, VT
If you are looking for a fun-filled resort a little further away, Smugglers’ Notch falls within a six hour drive. A perfect place to unwind, have fun and reconnect. The resort village amenities include condominiums with fully equipped kitchens, restaurants, a child care center, two teen centers, a country store, a sport shop, and a spa. In the spring, toddlers and preschoolers will have a blast at the playgrounds, and older kids will enjoy miniature golf, zip lining, pick-up sports and much more.
