GAME CHANGER: Drop-off child care now available at Lil Chameleon!

Hi everyone!

We have a couple things we’re excited about this week. One of them we’ve been wishing for since our kids were born (well, other than a neighborhood Margarita Truck). That’s right: on-demand drop off child care! Scroll down for more info!

The second is the return of the Presents From Heaven toy drive to benefit pediatric patients at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. Now in its third year, this toy drive was organized by the Pavlovic family to honor their son, Lukas, who lost his battle with pediatric cancer just shy of his 2nd birthday. Lukas would have been four years old on September 1st, and to celebrate his birthday the Pavlovic family collects toys for the kids at Maria Fareri who are battling serious illnesses.

Many of the kids Maria Fareri spend their birthdays in the hospital and don’t get to experience the joy of childhood parties. Though we can’t spoil Lukas come September, we can spoil the brave kids fighting cancer and other diseases.

Click here to view the Amazon wishlist. The only restriction from the hospital is that toys must be new, unused, and unopened. You can ship directly to the Pavlovic family, who will be sorting, wrapping, and distributing the toys at the hospital in September. Click here to read more about the Presents From Heaven toy drive.

Kid’s Club: your new spot for Mommy’s Day Out!

We’re so excited to announce Kid’s Club, a new drop-off child care service offered by program/party haven and resale boutique Lil Chameleon in Tuckahoe that is launching in September. What mom hasn’t needed some last-minute help, whether it’s to go to a doctor’s appointment, to pick up the slack when the babysitter cancels, or just a few hours off for a quick sanity refresh? (Don’t underestimate the healing power of a solo trip to Target.)

According to Lil Chameleon’s Founder & President, C.C. Benitez, “I believe this niche service will be a game-changer for families who need on-demand care with play time, socialization and integrated quality enrichment.” All the fun of preschool without the commitment!

Kid’s Club will be offered in morning and afternoon sessions: 2 to 5 year olds from 9:30am to 12:00pm and 3 to 6 year olds from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. The following package options are available:

  • Single 2.5-hour sessions

  • 4-, 10- or 20-pack memberships

  • Seasonal packages (Fall, Winter, Spring)

With Lil Chameleon’s Kid’s Club, daily sessions are limited to 6 or fewer kids. Personal attention and care will be provided by fun-loving, dedicated, CPR certified staff—most with an education background. Aside from the children being in a safe and secure, clean and well-maintained space, each day will bring something different with a rotating variety of toys for open play, music classes, a cooking program, arts and crafts, yoga and mindfulness, computer science, story time and pretend play. Lil Chameleon has also partnered with a 3rd party transportation services for a one-way or round-trip transportation option.
