Small Business Saturday - Local Westchester Moms Edition
/Hi everyone! As promised, here are some highlights for your holiday shopping list. We have a lot of great local moms with businesses right in Westchester, and we're hoping you'll think local this year for the gifts on your list. 1. AUTHOR KRISTIN ARDEN MARKOVICH
Kristin Arden Markovich has a new book called KIDS & PUPS: PLAY DAYS IN CENTRAL PARK. She says: "I lived next to a professional photographer in the city. He and I would often see each other in Central Park while walking our dogs. We witnessed many cute moments involving kids and dogs at play, so we decided to arrange a few photo shoots...and the rest is history. Mitch shot the photos, and I served as producer and author. Kids & Pups: Play Days in Central Park
A book for kids of all ages. Renowned photographer Mitchel Gray has captured the unique love, friendship and humor that lives between dogs and children. The author, Kristin Arden, is a local Westchester Mom. Each photo was taken in Central Park (New York City) over the past year. $1 per book will be donated to benefit New York City parks and play spaces.
2. CRAFTER AMY RIOS OF AMY'S TANGLED DREAMS

Amy Rios is a talented crochet artist whose work was selected for an exhibit at the Pelham Art Center: "Craft Marketplace: An Exhibition and Sale of the Handmade." You can check out her work there, or on her Facebook page, @AmysTangledDreams. She is also available for custom orders. She says, "I crochet unique gifts for babies, toddlers, children and adults.
