New Rochelle has a special connection with the French, having been settled by Huguenots who named their new home after La Rochelle, France. Our annual celebration will include free berets and red balloons, a CanCan dance performance by Dance Connection, Monet waterlilies and sunflower crafts. 11:00 – 12:00 pm: Family performance – Rockin’ with Armelle. 1:00 pm:The Red Balloon movie in the library’s Ossie Davis Theater. Special activities offered by promotional sponsor Alliance Francaise Westchester, Lyceum Kennedy International school and other local francophone organizations.
